Our tours are intentionally operated with small groups, allowing for a more personal experience, better wildlife viewing opportunities, and plenty of time to ask questions.
Cabo Trek is actively involved in photo-identification research, contributing valuable data that helps scientists monitor individual humpback whales and better understand their population. What To Expect
Join Cabo Trek for an unforgettable 2.5-hour whale watching adventure in Cabo San Lucas, led by an experienced Marine Biologist who will share fascinating insights about humpback whales, their behavior, migration, and the unique marine ecosystem of Baja California Sur.
After check-in at our office, we'll head to the marina and board our boat. Before searching for whales, we'll cruise past Cabo San Lucas' most iconic landmarks, including The Arch, providing excellent opportunities for sightseeing and photos.
From there, we'll venture into either the Pacific Ocean or the Sea of Cortez, depending on weather, sea conditions, and whale activity. Our captain and marine biologist work together to select the best route, maximizing your chances of unforgettable whale encounters while ensuring a safe and comfortable experience.
Throughout the tour, you'll have the opportunity to observe humpback whales in their natural habitat and may witness behaviors such as breaching, tail slapping, spy-hopping, and playful interactions.

As an active member of the Dolphin SMART program, we do not have physical contact with the dolphins on Humpback Whale Watching Tour in Cabo San Lucas. We watch them in their natural habitat from the boat.
Dec 2022If you have any doubts about becoming seasick on the water, we recommend taking a Dramamine® Motion Sickness Relief tablet the night before your trip. Some people recommend taking it the night before your cruise and then again that morning so you will not feel so drowsy.
Feb 2023- For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the tour start time.
- If you cancel less than 24 hours before the tour start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
- Any changes made less than 24 hours before the tour start time will not be accepted.
- Cut-off times are based on the tour local time (MST).
