Noel, our guide was excellent. He made sure safety was understood before ATV take-off. He was friendly and the ride was fun. The complimentary fresh tortillas at the end was amazing and tasty. Fun experience.

This is a REALLY unique and special experience. This ranch supports conservation of not only the Donkeys, but of the local sea turtles. They have such a special mission and the animals are clearly well cared for and loved. Our guides José and Abel were absolutely amazing. It’s clear Jose has been with the ranch for a long time with how the donkeys respected him and he knew all of their quirks. And Abel, my goodness we could not have asked for a better guide to educate us on the ecosystem, Mexican history, plants/animals. I highly recommend this tour for animal lovers, people that like unique experiences and the view that you hike to is absolutely stunning.I have never done an excursion like this before and that’s the goal for us when on vacation - making once in a lifetime memories and this was definitely the case.

Beautiful hike, knowledgeable guide, quesadillas and Mexican coffee were nice addition. AC van transportation was comfortable.

Rancho Carisuva is truly a special experience. The ranch is a sanctuary and their tours are filled with passion because the volunteers care about their work! They are conservationists and advocate for the welfare of the animals. The donkey hike was spectacular and our guides, Max & Margot, were kind, personable, and knowledgeable. Our driver was safe and punctual. I highly recommend this unique experience. All the tours at Rancho Carisuva support the rescue efforts of the ranch. There is heart at this place and it hosts the most fulfilling tours.

I booked the camel and atv ride tequila tasting. The price I booked for was not the price once the driver contacted me. And it was not the price when arriving at the site. It went for $16 to $200. The atv that is offered is not a drive able bc it’s a stick shift one so you kinda force to upgrade. It’s ran like a rental car place vs your normal tour site. Phones can’t really be out so many ppl sneak and take pictures bc the site wants to sell you pics. The guide who was super nice told us he wasn’t allowed! Overall the atvs were fantastic I enjoyed the experience. The time spent on the atvs exceeded my expectations. The site is beautiful.

This was an incredible once in a lifetime opportunity type thing. We did the overnight we got to stay on the beach and listen to the ocean waves all night. The dinner they made was so delicious. We got to ride up and down the beach on quads for turtle patrol. We woke up to releasing baby turtles again in the morning. I would go back to Cabo just to do this. also, Patricio was amazing tour guide!

I can't thank Rancho Carisuva enough! This was truly a once in a lifetime experience. The two biologist were so knowledgeable and explained everything so well, my 7yr old daughter wants to be a marine biologist after this experience. The whole ranch is wonderful, Dinner and breakfast was homemade and delicious. sleeping in the tent in the turtle coral/nursery was so special. It was just our family of 4, our daughters are ages 13yrs and 7yrs old, they both loved it and still are talking about it! We stayed mid August, my husband was a bit worried about the heat and mosquitoes. We had no problem with either. There was a wonderful breeze off the Pacific Ocean to keep us cool and the bugs away. the tent and mattresses are nice and comfortable. We were very lucky to get to see a female Olive Ridley laying her eggs, collect them and move them to the coral. We got lucky and also saw baby Olive Ridleys right after hatching. My daughters also loved the super friendly Donkeys and horses. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone! Thank you, Mia

I recently did the Sunrise Guided Desert Hike in Los Cabos, and although I ended up being the only participant (my friend couldn’t make it last minute), the experience was still fantastic—thanks in large part to my guide, Pablo. From the beginning, Pablo made me feel welcome and completely at ease. Even though it turned into a one-on-one tour, he maintained an upbeat attitude and tailored the hike to my pace. The photos captured by “Little Bird” were fantastic as well. The hike took us over rocky but very accessible terrain with stunning views of the Pacific Ocean and down to a secluded beach, where I got to take the signature photo at the Hidden Arch. I’d highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a mix of adventure, nature, and a unique, less-touristy side of Los Cabos. If you’re lucky enough to have Pablo as your guide, you’re in great hands.

Just have a great time. Guides are awesome. Really treated the Assursteel Family well. Go for the 4pm one as it is cool and sunset with Atvs is bad ass! You can Uber or do a package deal where they come pick you up and drop you off

Absolutely amazing! The UTV and camel rides were fun and they take you to many different spots with beautiful views. Photos are taken throughout and are very professional. A special shout out to Oscar who was our guide. He was speaking in both English and Spanish fluently and he was very charismatic, friendly, and cracked many funny jokes. The Tequila tasting was amazing too and the bartender Carlos was very friendly and knowledgeable about Tequila and how its made. I highly recommend this experience to anyone!

Great experience for animal lovers. You are paired with a wonderful donkey for a hike through the desert to an amazing vista where you can spot whales cruising on the pacific coast during season of course. You then continue down the beach with your trusty donkey partner. Afterwards you can stay and enjoy the farm and or the beach. It is a great eco friendly experience.

You should be in pretty good physical condition just because there are some small hills and deep sand we walked through, plus you have to try to stay in front of your donkey which is easier said than done! But overall we really enjoyed it. The guide (don't remember her name-she was from France) was very patient, sweet, and knowledgeable. The donkeys were adorable and they sometimes got a little feisty but were fun to be around. If you love animals you will probably enjoy this experience. The ocean views are incredible and almost worth the price of the excursion itself!

Beware, you must be in good shape to do the hike. Daniel picked us up at our resort and drove us out of town and into the mountains. He stopped on the side of the road and bought some local, fresh fruit from a cactus for us to try along the way. We turned off the highway and down a dusty, dirt road. Daniel continued to tell us about the region and the people who lived there. We stopped at a local farm and picked up Ricky, a local boy who was going to lead the hike. Ricky and Daniel made sure we had enough water before we set off. The air temp was around a dry 87 F. We proceeded down one side of a mountain and into a ravine, where there was beautiful, clear water. We took the drone out for a quick shot of the area before we continued up the other mountain. The terrain was sandy with large rock and boulders. There were a lot of cacti and natural trees to look at. Keep in mind you are in a desert and everything is parched. A few cows crossed our path. About 1.5 hours into the hike we came across a very large boulder and were told we wold be climbing up and through the rock to get on top where the cave paintings are. We sat on top of the boulder for about 30 minutes while we re-hydrated, had a quick snack and flew the drone. Back down the mountain and through the ravine, careful not to grab onto anything to balance, cause its probably a cactus (OUCH). We dropped Ricky back off at his farm and Daniel drove us to the next stop at the waterfall and springs. The hot spring was HOT, a dip of the toes and we decided its too hot to get in. We went up a bit to the cooler spring and swam around. Daniel continued up the spring to a small waterfall, a little further up and a bigger waterfall. we sat in the water and enjoyed the area for a bit before we ha to head back to the car. Daniel drove us back to our hotel, along the way we stopped at the Tropic of Cancer line. Be prepared for a long drive, intense hiking and beautiful views of the Baja.

The tour group size is kept small. Your hike starts with hotel pick up in a large SUV. They arrived to pick us up a few mins early so be sure to be on time if not 5 mins early. Then a drive to the ranch. After arriving your guide will take you on an ATV to the trail head. Our guide Pablo took his time to tell us about all the different cactus in the area. We were even lucky enough to get to try the Pitaya fruit! The hike its self isn’t very difficult but does offer mixed terrain. A pair of good walking shoes should be fine. We saw the arch during high tide which made for a fun experience. We even saw a bunch of little crab scuttling about.While on the hike another guide was taking photos of us with a drone and professional camera which are for purchase at the end of the tour.The experience comes with food after the hike. We had cheese quesadillas on what looked like corn tortillas (I forgot to ask to verify) and hibiscus water. This was all simple but so delicious. There’s an optional tip jar for the cook so if you are able to, bring a bit of extra cash.There is a $25 USD park entrance fee per person on top of the experience fee, you may want to validate if this fee is applicable to this experience.There are really amazing and unique views throughout the property, I’d recommend asking for a few mins just to look out and appreciate the scenery. It’s beautiful and there is a lot to see. If you want an experience that shows you a different side of Cabo, this is a good one!

I really enjoyed this activity. This is a good tour for animal lovers or someone who wants something slow paced and different. The staff was polite and very knowledgeable about the donkeys and the history of the area.
