Truly a magical experience. Educational. Joyful. Fun. Patrescio. Adrianna, and the turtle conservatory team were knowledgeable and delightfully friendly. A delightfully informative tutorial was followed by releasing the hatchlings on a pristine beach under a gorgeous sunset. What a thrill! This is a REALLY unique and special experience. This ranch supports conservation of not only the Donkeys, but of the local sea turtles. They have such a special mission and the animals are clearly well cared for and loved. Our guides José and Abel were absolutely amazing. It’s clear Jose has been with the ranch for a long time with how the donkeys respected him and he knew all of their quirks. And Abel, my goodness we could not have asked for a better guide to educate us on the ecosystem, Mexican history, plants/animals. I highly recommend this tour for animal lovers, people that like unique experiences and the view that you hike to is absolutely stunning.I have never done an excursion like this before and that’s the goal for us when on vacation - making once in a lifetime memories and this was definitely the case.

Rancho Carisuva is truly a special experience. The ranch is a sanctuary and their tours are filled with passion because the volunteers care about their work! They are conservationists and advocate for the welfare of the animals. The donkey hike was spectacular and our guides, Max & Margot, were kind, personable, and knowledgeable. Our driver was safe and punctual. I highly recommend this unique experience. All the tours at Rancho Carisuva support the rescue efforts of the ranch. There is heart at this place and it hosts the most fulfilling tours.

This felt like a very rich experience that my daughter and I shared together. The team at Rancho Carisuva are doing heroes work to try to increase the possibility that as many baby turtles as possible can survive the dangerous journey from their nest to the ocean. The tour provided transportation to and from my hotel, which made the whole thing very simple the only thing I wished I had brought was some bug spray for the discussion at the ranch before we went to the beach.

Great experience for animal lovers. You are paired with a wonderful donkey for a hike through the desert to an amazing vista where you can spot whales cruising on the pacific coast during season of course. You then continue down the beach with your trusty donkey partner. Afterwards you can stay and enjoy the farm and or the beach. It is a great eco friendly experience.

You should be in pretty good physical condition just because there are some small hills and deep sand we walked through, plus you have to try to stay in front of your donkey which is easier said than done! But overall we really enjoyed it. The guide (don't remember her name-she was from France) was very patient, sweet, and knowledgeable. The donkeys were adorable and they sometimes got a little feisty but were fun to be around. If you love animals you will probably enjoy this experience. The ocean views are incredible and almost worth the price of the excursion itself!

It was an educational and fun experience that’s great for everyone. We learned about sea turtles and then we each got to release many of them and see them out to the ocean. Worth the trip.

This excursion was the highlight of my whole 8 day cruise. Abel was our private tour guide. While we did do part of the day with the bigger group when it came to releasing the baby turtles my husband and I had a bucket of the cutest black turtles ever and we got to release all of them and name ALL of them! Abel took fantastic photos of us and the sunset... WOW! It couldn't have been more perfect. To say we highly recommend this excursion is an understatement. If you love sea turtles, book this!! I will definitely be going back.

Everyone comes for the Arch and all the Instagram over rated scenic backdrops but I got to release a bucket of baby turtles into the ocean and learn about their history. It was the most magical event I’ve gotten to do on vacation! Don’t miss Rancho Carisuva! They pick u up and drop you off. It’s a seamless experience and AMAZING!!!!!

This was one the one of the most amazing tours I have been on. The drive there was fairly long but very well worth it. You get informational session and turtles before the release which is good to know. Then you go and see where they have the nests. Then the release. It’s something that I truly believe everyone should experience.The fact that the money you spend to do this experience goes back to helping save the turtles is also what makes it a top notch experience.The passion the men have for these turtle and trying to make sure they are safe and can thrive is amazing, and very touching. I would do this again.

It starts with a half hour “masterclass” on sea turtles. It was interesting to learn about them. Then we walked down toward the beach and checked out all the nests they had set up. These guys do so much for turtle conservation - their work is admirable and impressive. After checking that out we walked down to the beach. Sometimes you have to be patient and fight off the seagulls, which they endearingly refer to as “sea eagles.” We watched the sunset and let the turtles go shortly after. It was so fun! There were so many babies and it was such a good time to watch them crawl to the ocean and cheer them all on. Abel was our guide and he was so kind and knowledgeable. Pato was also very kind and professional. Highly recommend!

Awesome experience!! They do a great job and it’s in a beautiful country side. Truly an unforgettable experience.

Great learning experience! Got to see a turtle shell. Also got to pet donkies and it was an amazing sunset that night.

It was a little bit of a trip to get there and because of the facilities limited budget and resources, you are not in an air conditioned environment for the educational portion. That is not a complaint, just a heads up to be fed and hydrated when you go. That said, the marine biologist (Patricio) and his partner (Abel) were great! A wonderful experience for adults and children. You could see how passionate and invested those two are in helping the turtles. It is a lot of work and dedication and I have a new respect for their chosen careers and efforts . And what a beautiful experience it was to introduce the baby sea turtles to their journey out to the ocean. I highly recommend. We did have to wait an exrta 1/2 hr to leave because of a broken down van but those things happen and are beyond anyone’s control.
